Blog Love: Attic 24

Maybe it's the cold, dreary weather or the post-holiday time of year, or my obsession with pretty colors and yarn, but I could not have stumbled upon this cheery blog at a more perfect time.

Lucy, of Attic 24, is a stay at home mother of three (one brand new!) who lives in the English countryside and loves bright colors and crocheting among other things. Complete confession: prior to finding this blog I was not the biggest fan of afghans and I was definitely a knitting devotee. My mind has officially been changed by Lucy and her beautifully colored creations. That, and I'm always envious of her yummy looking breakfast sweets and fresh flowers!

Missed Connections

Who doesn't love reading the missed connections on Craigslist? There's a great missed connections blog over at Tumblr. Funny, funny stuff.

Still, today I found the doozy of all doozies, for all things MC. Illustrator, Sophie Blackall, has the most wonderful ILLUSTRATED blog, appropriately titled Missed Connections. Her hand drawn ink and watercolor pictures are fantastic and a little dream-like. Check it out. Blog love of the week!

Cherries and Blog Love

Two unrelated topics, but both worthy of note.

1.) I am eating the crap out of cherries lately! I bought a 2# bag on Saturday and polished it off today. So good I may get another.

Let me know if I start turning pink.

2.) I have found a new blog crush. I ran across My Milk Toof on StumbleUpon (which you should totally try if you haven't). This blog is probably one of the most original ideas I've seen in quite a while.

Creator, Inhae Renee, sets it up by saying:

"When I was young, I placed my baby teeth under my pillow and when i woke up I'd find a shiny new quarter. But whatever happened to those little teeth? Where did they go? Would I ever see them again?

Blog Love: Pioneer Woman

I've got some major blog love today. I can't believe I hadn't stumbled upon it before now, but if you have been living under a rock like me and haven't checked out Pioneer Woman , you MUST.

Originally a city girl, she met and married her cowboy husband, Marlboro Man, during a "temporary" stop at home. She now lives on a cattle ranch with MM and their kids, takes some of the most amazing photos, and her recipes section makes me want to lick my monitor.

Word to the wise: don't even start reading the love story between her and MM, titled Black Heels and Tractor Wheels, if you don't have a few uninterrupted hours on your hands. You won't be able to stop!

I think I have a blog crush.

Blog Love

I've been travelling once again this week for work. Mainly when I'm actually home I've been trying to get my place cleaned up when I can, enjoy the nice weather this week, and sometimes just crashing on the couch. That said, my blog has again been sadly neglected.

I HAD to jump on today though, and give some blog love to one of my new favorites, Little Brown Pen. I first spied it on another one of my favorites Smitten, and have been a devout follower ever since. Writer Amy, husband Evan, and their two sons are a hip and very cute family that are living and blogging in Paris right now. (*Luckeeeeeeeeee*) I love the photos of their life and Paris, her writing is excellent, and they even have a fab Etsy shop with some of their designs for sale.
